Chizi is a married woman with three kids who attend school. Her husband is a farmer and together they own a house that has neither electricity nor running water.
She has operated a business selling goat meat for the past three years. She dreams of establishing a wholesale food shop as another business in the future.
With the 30,000 KES loan, she wants to purchase eight goats for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access financial support to improve her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
