Mjeni is a married woman with four kids who attend school. Her husband is a farmer, and together they own a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
She has operated a goat-meat selling business for the past two years. Her potential clients are mostly butcher operators and fellow villagers.
With the 30,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase six goats for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access financial support to improve her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
