Fikira is married and lives at a rental house that has electricity but not piped water.
For over one year, she has operated a poultry business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. In addition she also operates a farming business that earns her another source of income. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her businesses.
With the loan that she is requesting, she wants to buy 15 hens for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
