Elias is a 36-year-old single man from Lebanon. He has operated a snack bar since 2011 and has more than 10 years of experience working in the same field. His store is adjacent to his house. His regular customers are his neighbours and members of the local community.
To help him continue operating his business, Elias is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l. He will utilize the loan to buy raw supplies and machinery to make french fries, which he needs to continue production and expand his product inventory.
He expects a minimum increase of 15 per cent in his business income, with which he will start thinking about expanding his business into other areas.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
