Seguras Hacia El Futuro Group
Nelly, 65, has a business making cold pressed ceramics. She makes all types of souvenirs for different events. She works in her home about 8 hours a day. Nelly started this business 10 years ago; it was her daughter who taught her how to do this work. This business has enabled her to become independent and to get ahead. With the loan that she is requesting, she will buy ceramics supplies so that she can continue to make more ceramic models. In the future, she wants her daughters to inherit the business and expand it, with the aim of moving into the export market. Nelly is pleased with this opportunity to obtain a loan just when she needs it the most, and she wants to give thanks to all of the lenders who are making it possible, and to EDAPROSPO for granting it to her.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
