María tiene 55 años de edad, vive en la hermosa ciudad de Barranquilla, departamento del Atlántico, conocida a nivel nacional como la “Arenosa” ó “Curramba la Bella”. Es casada, con dos hijas de veintidós (22) y veinticuatro (24) años de edad respectivamente. Su negocio es de confección de vestidos, camisas, pantalones y arreglo de ropa. Este oficio lo brinda de contado y a crédito a clientes del barrio y personas referidas; todos los días de seis (6) de la mañana a nueve (9) de la noche. Hace las compras de sus insumos en almacenes del mercado en el centro de la ciudad. Aprendió esta actividad de sus hermanas mayores, desde hace treinta (30) años, y el negocio lo inició desde el año 2003, es decir, hace diez (10) años. Este es su primer credikiva con la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, el cual lo aplicará en la compra de una fileteadora, con el objetivo de ofrecer otros servicios y productos con mayor calidad. Sus metas son: Tener un taller con operarias, y que sus hijas terminen sus estudios superiores.
