The members of the DANAYA 5 group are married women who are on average 39 years old, have four children, and live in polygamous families in Bladiè, a village in Bougouni, the third administrative region of Mali. They are working with microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso in order to see through their agricultural businesses in the rainy season. They are on their tenth loan with the institution, and their previous loans were properly repaid. The grown crops are peanuts and rice with BINTOU TAHIROU, standing in the middle of the photo. With her loan, she plans to buy ingredients and seeds and to pay for the labor to make use of .75 hectares. The crops are sold in the village in Garalo, after the harvest to a clientele composed of men and women. She plans to earn 45,000 FCFA per crop. These earnings will allow her to repay her loan and also to help her husband with the daily expenses.

Les membres du groupe DANAYA 5 sont des femmes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 39 ans, 4 enfants et vivant toutes dans des familles polygames à Bladiè, un des villages de Bougouni, 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles pendant l’hivernage.
Elles sont à leur dixième prêt avec l’institution, les prêts passés ont été bien remboursés.
Les spéculations cultivées sont l’arachide et le riz avec BINTOU TAHIROU , debout au milieu sur la photo.
Avec son prêt, elle compte acheter des intrants, la semence et payer les frais de labour pour exploiter 0.75 hectare.
La production est vendue au niveau du village, à Garalo, après la récolte à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice de 45.000FCFA par campagne.
Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi d’aider son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
