Mwanamisi is a married mother of three children, all of whom attend school. She lives in a rental house that has electricity but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are school fees and transportation, which is a major challenge.
For the past two years, she has operated a clothing business, selling door-to-door to neighbors and passersby. She dreams of expanding and establishing a boutique business in the future. With the 50,000 KES loan that she is requesting, she wants to purchase 4 bales of clothes for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans in order to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
