Mariano es un hombre soltero de 25 años de edad, vive junto a su pareja en el Caserío Chuarixché, Cantón el Tablón Sololá, Sololá.
El es un hombre agricultor que trabaja fuerte para mantener a su familia. Actualmente cultiva papa, en una parcela que se encuentra ubicada en el lugar donde vive.
Este trabajo lo aprendió de sus padres hace muchos años la cual fue el primer trabajo de su vida, de esta manera es como el obtiene ingresos aceptables que lo ayudan a contribuir con el sustento familiar.
El ahora tiene 10 años de experiencia realizando este tipo de trabajo por lo que ve la necesidad de solicitar un préstamo de Q 3,500.00 para comprar semillas de papa y abono orgánico ya que por la temporada del año la cosecha es mejor. Esto ara que cultive mas en otras parcelas expandiendo su verdura.
Su sueño es construir su casa para mejorar las condiciones de vida de su familia, ya que por el momento vive aun con sus padres.

ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations. Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
