Thon is 38 years old. She is married and resides with six children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been selling vegetables for more than five years, earning approximately $4 daily. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $8 each day.
Due to the difficulty in her family’s transportation, Thon is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase will help her save some money on her transportation to support the family. In the future, she would like to build a new house and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
