Ghassan is a 50-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three working children. He has owned a home appliances shop since 2010. He sells a wide range of equipment and different supplies that might be needed at home. Today, Ghassan looks forward to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l to purchase more appliances and apparatus to sell. He aims to strengthen his business operation by expanding his work and targeting a wider clientele in order to amplify his income. He is very optimistic and willing to open a new branch of his shop as soon as he can.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
