Thanh is 49 years old. She has two children. The first one has gotten married. The second one is a marketer. Her husband breeds pigs and doves to earn a living. He earns about 4,000,000 VND per month. Thanh makes spring meat to sell in the market and she earns about 4,000,000 VND per month. Besides that, she also helps her husband breed the pigs. Her family’s total income is about 8,000,000 VND per month. Her challenge in work is the lack of money to buy more pig feed because nowadays price of feed is too high while price of selling pigs is low. Her dream is to build a bigger pig farm. This loan is one of steps to help her reach this dream. Thanh wants to buy more 5 pigs to gain earnings and make more profit. She is a hardworking woman and a passionate businesswoman.
Thanh has participated in SEDA’s microfinance program since 2010. In the last loan cycle, she borrowed 8,288,000 VND and repaid on time. In this loan cycle, she wants to borrow 9,632,000 VND to buy more pigs to expand her farm. She will use the profit to build her farm.
