Zahra is a 51-year-old married woman from Lebanon, living with her husband and three children. In 2003, in order to supplement the family’s income, she decided to start her own business, producing a wide variety of homemade food which she sells to customers from her town and neighboring villages. Her husband, who works as an employee outside Lebanon, represents the main income source of the family.

Today, Zahra is asking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l to purchase required products in addition to a new oven. She states that the loan will certainly help her increase her business productivity by a large percentage, which will return for her with higher profits. In the future, she plans to open her own grocery store.
