Prosperidad Y Exito Group
Martha is married, 43 years old, her three children are in school. Martha has always worked and since a young age was inclined to work independently. And so it was that she decided to open a bazaar where she sells clothing and lingerie. She works daily approximately 6 to 7 hours. Her business enables her to provide stable support to her family and be able to pay the university education of one of her daughters. With the loan she will be able to invest in buying clothing for her bazaar, above all winter clothing as that what her customers are seeking. In the future her dream is to have her own locale so she would not have to pay rent thus increasing her income. Martha is thankful for her loan and that of her communal group as now thanks to the KIVA investors they can be successful.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
