Start-up business owner, Jessica, has more than five years experience in the magazine business. Jessica and her business partner, Izanama, decided to publish a beauty guide for the residents in the Dallas and Fort Worth area.
The Beauty Guide, a premiere resource directory for beauty services and products around the Dallas area is printed and also available online. This publication provides individuals with a range of information regarding local beauty industry professionals and related products and services.
Inside the publication you will find beauticians, spas, eyelash salons, nail salons, tanning salons, barbers, beauty colleges, waxing salons, makeup artists, weaveologists, wig salons, natural hairstylists and many more services at your fingertips.
The first issue is scheduled to be released Summer 2013 in over 500 locations throughout Dallas and Fort Worth, including local Central Markets, Kroger Grocery Stores and HEB.
Jessica and her business partner came to Accion Texas Inc. after discovering the microlender from the Small Business Administration. Once referred to Accion, they applied and received approval for their $5,450 loan. The loan allowed the duo to pay for web design, marketing, printing and advertising.
Without the Accion loan, Jessica and Izanama said “we would not have been able to start our business together.”
