Juan, 20, is a young man who lives in the city of Pisco which is known for its warm, welcoming climate. It is also a place with many beautiful tourist attractions and many visitors. Juan has had some difficult times in life because his parents had scarce economic resources so he had to work to support them. He was only able to get a fifth grade education, but would have liked to get a degree in business administration.

With much effort and by saving his money, Juan was able to start selling groceries and beverages. He works around nine hours and attends to up to 20 customers a day. He believes his is prospering because he is very kind to customers and determined to get ahead.

Juan is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to your help he is able to buy groceries for his business such as rice, noodles, sugar, tuna, etc. This will allow him to give his customers better service and improve his income. He will able to continue in his daily struggle toward realizing his dream: "To have his own grocery store and his own house".
