Mwanasha is married with one child who attends school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
She operates an open-air food business, selling to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business. Her dream is to establish a wholesale business in the near future.
With the Kshs 15,000 she wants to purchase stocks of wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, and rice. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
