1Ero De Mayo Group
In this Group: Braulia, Adela, Luis Ricardo , Estela, Alejo, Rosa Isela, Monica Janet, Selene
This group is called 1Ero de Mayo and is made up of 8 people. These people came together to form a group as they are neighbors and they have in common business enterprises and the enthusiasm to make them prosper in order to give their families a better quality of life.

Braulia is one of the members of this group. She is 50 years old. She only studied through primary and currently she has a 12 year old son attending elementary school.

She says she has more than 26 years in the business because she likes to sell and it is a profitable business that leaves good earnings. She began when she was 24 years old selling clothes for ladies and men and through this business she brought up her children. A little more than a year ago she had the idea of selling groceries at her home and so established a place in her home where she could have her little store.

As she has not been in this business long, little by little she has purchased a variety of products but she still needs much more. So she is requesting a loan from VisioFund in order to buy rice, beans, oil, canned products, cookies, sweets, chips, soda, juices, soup, soap, and toilet paper to stock her business.

In the future she would like her business to expand and turn it into a mini-mart.

This group is grateful for the opportunity to receive Kiva loans.

The other members of the group are:

Adela who sells shoes
Luis who sells natural products
Estela who sells bags and belts
Alejo who sells groceries
Rosa who sells clothing
Mónica who sells snacks
Selene who sells clothing

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
