Franklin is 43 years old and has had his business for three years. He started it when he was thinking about a way to earn income and realized he could do this work and achieve good results. He makes his purchases directly from delivery trucks, and his main customers are his neighbors, who enjoy very cold beverages to cool themselves from the incessant heat of the Colombian Caribbean. His goal for the future is to save so he can establish a bigger place for his business in order to generate more income and to better support his children and provide them with a quality education. He is requesting a Kiva loan, his first through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to purchase baskets of refreshments, especially soft drinks. The loan will give him the ability to make purchases on a bigger scale since he will have more capital, and that will make this investment a success.

Franklin de 43 años de edad, desde hace 3 años, tiene un negocio, el cual inició cuando pensando en generar ingresos, se dio cuenta que actividades similares a la que realizaría, daban buenos resultados. Por eso desde el año 2009 inició su pequeña refresquería y hoy con su esfuerzo y dedicación ha ido prosperando. Sus ventas las realiza directamente al consumidos final y las hace a crédito y de contado, desde los jueves a los domingos y días feriados, en el horario desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 12 de la noche. Las compras las realiza directamente a los camiones de reparto y sus principales clientes son los vecinos del sector, a quienes les place consumir estas bebidas muy frías, para refrescarse del incesante calor del caribe Colombiano. Su meta mas adelante es lograr ahorrar para establecerse en un lugar de mayor amplitud, para generar más ingresos y apoyar aun mas el bienestar de sus hijos brindándoles una educación de calidad. En la actualidad está aplicando a un credikiva, primer financiamiento que hace a la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, mediante el cual comprará canastas de refrescos, especialmente gaseosas. Su credikiva le da la posibilidad de realizar compras en mayor escala, porque cuenta con un mayor capital y esto es lo que hace de esta inversión un total éxito.
