James of Kaata, Buyanja Rubabo – Rukungiri District was born in 1970 to a peasant family. He studied up to secondary level after which he went to train as a lay reader. He is now a lay reader at one of the local churches in rural Rukungiri.
James is now 43 years old and married with three children and all attend school. He started up a timber business in 2001 to supplement his income so as to improve the standard of living of his household since the income from the church is usually small and inadequate.
He is now looking forward to expanding his business but due to a lack of enough funds, he has decided to borrow from UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) so that he can inject more funds into the timber business.
James had previously borrowed money from UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) – Rukungiri Branch and managed to pay it back. He believes that he is hardworking and honest enough to pay back this loan and he appreciates all the help in order to achieve his dreams of having a well to do and sustainable family.
