Jappale Sor Dga 2 Group
In this Group: Ndèye Bineta , Ndèye Natou , Ndaté , Mamadou , Boye
Ndèye Bineta is a real fighter. She's married and the mother of five children: three beautiful girls and two boys. The eldest is 26 years old, and the youngest is 5 and goes to the neighborhood's nursery.

Ndèye Bineta is 45 years old but looks younger. She's the president of Jappale Sor Daga 2 Group. Her business consists in selling food products at her home, where she opened a "cantine" (small shop) ten years ago. Her shop is open from 8 am to 1 pm in the morning, and from 3 to 6 pm in the afternoon.

With her loan, she wants to renew her stock. She will mainly buy toiletries, fruits, fish, and vegetables, which are the most used and fastest moving products.

Her clientele comprises people from the neighborhood, who appreciate this local store and find it very practical. She doesn't have fixed expenses to cover except what she wants for her household.

For this reason, she always needs to diversify her product and service offering of her business for the future.

About UIMCEC

This loan is administered by UIMCEC, a Kiva Field Partner in Senegal since 2008. UIMCEC is a government-regulated microfinance institution whose mission is to improve the revenue and well-being of families through access to financial services, allowing principally women and young adult micro-entrepreneurs living in rural and semi-rural areas to develop their revenue-generating businesses and supporting them in becoming financially self-sufficient.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
