Agustina lives in the village of Pan-ay, Clarin, Misamid Occidental. She is 48 years old. She has been engaged in farming and agriculture for many years.
Agustina has a farm, and she plants rice for family consumption and sells a portion of it for their basic needs. She borrowed a loan of 7,000 from GDMPC micro credit to purchase fertilizer. She plans to expand her farm in order to generate more income for the family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
