Loynie is a single young entrepreneur who works as store attendant and also operates her own sari-sari store in her home at Doña Consuelo, Ozamis City. During her free time and weekends, she personally assists and manages her store. When she's on duty, her mother, with whom she stays, watches over her store. As a new member of GDMPC, she borrowed a loan of 10,000 PHP to buy inventory for her sari-sari store. She always works hard and manages her business properly in order to generate income so that she can renovate her home to live a more comfortable life.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
