Mwenda is a married man with eight school-going children. They live at their own house that has no electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past ten years, he has operated a goat meat selling business, operating from the market where neighbours and passersby are potential customers. He faces a major challenge of seasonality and transportation in his place of operation.
With a loan of Kshs 50,000 he wants to purchase eight more goats for resale.
