The "Productivo" (Productive) Communal Bank meets every 15 days in the Montecristi Canton. This canton is known for its rich precolonial culture and handicrafts, which are recognized nationally and internationally. The canton is home to the famous straw hats "Panama hats".

She sells on credit and gets paid weekly. She has had this business for 8 years and she is doing very well. The products she sells the most are cosmetics and perfumes.

Genny will use this loan to buy perfumes, costume jewelry, cosmetics and creams, in particular those that are on special sale. She has been a member of the communal bank for 3 years and she likes it because of the support she receives. Her goal is for her children to become professionals.

EL Banco Comunal Productivo se reúne cada quince días en el Cantón Montecristi conocido por su rica cultura pre colonial y por su artesanía que es reconocida a nivel nacional e internacional. Lugar de los famosos sombreros de paja toquilla.

En este lugar vive la señora Genny, tiene 45 años de edad y mantiene una relación de unión libre de la cual tiene cinco hijos de 24, 22, 20, 18 y 13 años de edad, los dos mayores ya están casados y los tres menores estudian en universidad y colegio. El marido es albañil.

Doña Genny además de ser una gran ama de casa también se dedica a la venta útiles escolares y productos de Avon y Yanbal (artículos de belleza, cosméticos perfumería y accesorios para damas). Su forma de venta es puerta a puerta y en su casa donde tiene vitrinas para exhibir sus productos, también vende bocadillos y ciertas golosinas. Trabaja de tres a cuatro días más que todo por las tardes, deja a crédito y cobra semanalmente. Lleva 8 años dedicada a esta actividad y le va muy bien. Lo que más vende son los cosméticos y perfumes.

Este crédito lo va a emplear en comprar perfumes, bisutería, cosméticos y cremas sobre todo los que están en oferta. Lleva 3 años en el banco comunal y le gusta por la ayuda que le dan los créditos.

Su meta es que sus hijos sean profesionales.
