Mr. Ousmane, a 65-year-old man, is still active despite his age. He owns a field he has been putting to use for years with the support of his children, who also have chosen this agricultural trade. He is married and a father of ten children. A loan of 500,000 francs will enable him to acquire some seeds and fertilizer to prepare for the rainy season, which is showing some signs. He manages his family's day-to-day expenses with the help of his adult children, who have started to work.

His major concern is to support all of his children, so that they may be active in something and have steady work.
