Lucretia, age 40, sells eggs at the local market to earn an income. She lives in the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She and her husband have six children: the youngest is a two-month-old baby and the eldest is 21 years old. Two are presently enrolled in school and four live at home. Lucretia herself did not have the opportunity go to school.
Lucretia describes herself as a hard-working woman. She started this business two years ago with money given to her by mother. She sells eggs six days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and uses a shared taxi to bring her goods to her table. She likes her business because she enjoys interacting with her customers.
Lucretia is requesting a loan in order to purchase more eggs for her business. On the future, she plans to build a house for her children.
She would like to offer her thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
