The women live for the most part in polygamous families in Baba, a village in Commune de Massigui, in Préfecture de Dioîla, Région de Koulikoro (2nd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). They are collaborating with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso with the goal of organizing their work better at the start of the rainy season. The crops grown include peanuts, rice, and some millet. The women are in their seventh collaboration with the institution.

With this loan, Fatoumata Moussa, who is standing in the middle in the photo, intends to purchase farm inputs and sundry equipment and to pay for plowing for maintaining about 1 hectare of rice and peanuts.

After the harvest, the produce is sold in Massigui City to a customer base composed of men and women. She envisions making a profit of about 45,000 francs CFA per planting.

Les dix membres du groupe TIESSIRI IV sont des femmes mariées avec une moyenne d’âge de 43 ans et ont en moyenne 5 enfants. Elles vivent la plupart dans des familles polygames à Baba un des villages de la commune de Massigui, préfecture de Dioïla, région de Koulikoro, 2ème région administrative du mali.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de micro finance Soro yiriwaso dans le but de pouvoir mieux organiser leurs activités en début d’hivernage. Les spéculations cultivées sont entre autres l’arachide, du riz et un peu de mil. Elles sont à leur septième collaboration avec l’institution.
Avec ce prêt, Fatoumata Moussa la personne au milieu dans le rang des debout compte acheter les intrants, les petits équipements et payer les frais de labour pour entretenir environs 1 ha de riz et d’arachide
