Nemer is a 56-year-old married Lebanese man living with his wife and six children. His work is the family's main source of income. Nemer has 23 years of experience working in the agricultural field. He owns a plot of land where he cultivates different types of fruits and vegetables, which he sells to multiple grocery stores and traders. With his requested loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l, he will install a water station which will help him to irrigate his crops. The water station will allow him to improve his product development, and thus increase his sales and income. Nemer is very confident that the loan will help him to meet his business needs.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
