Madina is a single mother of five children, and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members.
Madina has a business selling charcoal, and she has been in this business for six months. She has applied for a loan of 600,000 UGX from MCDT-SACC to buy more bags of charcoal. She works from her home and sells on a retail basis only. Her major business challenges include transportation and thieves.
Madina aspires to become a wholesaler and also to own a delivery van to help with transportation. She resides in a house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and utility bills.
