Aged 38 years, Pov is married and lives with her family in a rural area located in the Sampov Meas district of Pursat province. She is a mother of five children, one of whom is dependent on her and still in school. She earns a living through farming rice and planting cassava and oranges, which she has been doing for 10 years. Pov can earn about 40,000 KHR (Cambodian riels) per day from the current business and is able to save about 20,000 KHR each day for the future.

This is the second loan for Pov with VisionFund. She has used the first loan wisely and successfully to improve her family’s livelihood. Now, she is requesting another loan of 2,000,000 KHR with VisionFund, and she is going to use this loan to buy seeds and fertilizer for her cultivated land. She will use a portion of it to spend on buying gasoline for water pumping. This loan will enable her to extend her farmland so as to increase her rice farming production to better her family’s living conditions.
