Sari is 63 years old and a father of five children. He lives in Battambang province. He is a farmer who grows rice on five hectares of farmland. Sari has been growing rice for 40 years to make a living. He earns about 21,100 KHR per day. He has never been with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner, before. Now he is seeking a loan of 3,000,000 KHR. He will spend his loan portion to plow his farmland. He hopes that he can make a huge income from his business to have better living conditions.

Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
