A loan of $2,000 helped to pay for three oxen and fertilizer for land cultivation.

Gayane's story

Gayane is 23-year-old from Ejmiatsin. She lives with her parents and grandmother and jointly with them is involved in agriculture. The family cultivates land, gets agricultural harvest, and sells it locally.

Gayane's mother is a teacher with 20 years of experience teaching at a local school. Unfortunately, as a teacher's salary is too low for sustaining the family of four, agriculture is the only source that helps them to have a stable income.

Realizing the importance of agriculture in their life, Gayane has requested this loan to purchase three oxen and fertilizer for land cultivation. The family wants to get involved in cattle breeding also, so three oxen are a good start. Fertilizer is very important for successful cultivation of the land, so it will help them to cultivate different types of fruits and vegetables and will increase their income.

Gayane dreams of seeing her family have appropriate living conditions and financial stability.
