Samuel is married with two children who live in Lapasan, Clarin, Misamis Occidental. He owns and operates a service-based business, providing motorcycle rental in the community. He has been a member of GDMPC Micro Credit, and it helps him improve his ability to engage in business and also gain access to microfinance services.
Recently, he requested a loan of 30,000 PHP (Philippines pesos) to purchase tires and spare parts. He hopes to gain more income to support his children’s studies.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
