Jalia is married and has four children, all whom go to school. She also takes care of her mother. She has a business selling mattress covers and bed sheets. She has applied for a loan of 700,000 Uganda shillings from MCDTSACCO to buy more bales of mattress covers and bed sheets. She has been in this clothing business for eight years and works at the market six days out of every week and sells on retail basis only. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality. She aspires to import used clothes and also to build rental houses. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and paying for electricity bills.
