The communal bank "Expresso" will start its 5th loan cycle in the Villa Exaltación offices of Pro Mujer. The group has 8 members and is led by a board of directors, of which Hilda is the Secretary. The members of this group have a variety of businesses, including: cake sales, hat sales, salchipapas (a dish with sausages and fried potatoes) sales, brick sales, food sales, drink sales, and sweets sales.

The loan that they are taking will benefit this group of small-businesswoman, of which Hilda is a member. She states that she joined Pro Mujer 4 years ago at the invitation of an adviser from the institution when she went to her house to visit her. Now, Hilda has a dressmaking business. She started out in this line of work when she was employed at a dressmaking workshop, and later she decided to establish an independent business.

She will use this loan to increase her working capital; she will buy fabric from the wholesale vendors in the city of El Alto and later use it to make items to sell from her sales post. This type of work is enabling her to generate resources to support her household in so far as possible. Hilda lives with a partner and their 4 children.

La A.C. “EXPRESSO” iniciará el quinto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Villa Exaltación, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Hilda es la Secretaria. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de pasteles, venta de sombreros, venta de salchipapas, venta de ladrillos, venta de comida, venta de refrescos, venta de dulces.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Hilda es integrante, ella indica que hace cuatro años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una asesora de la institución que fue a su casa a visitarla. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de taller de costura; este negocio lo emprendió anteriormente en un taller donde trabajaba de operaria, posteriormente decide establecer un negocio independiente.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de tela) que adquirirá de las vendedoras mayoristas de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a ala elaoración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en concubinato y tiene cuatro hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito y el consultorio.
