Rose is married with four children and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a hair-dressing business and has been in this business for two years. She has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more braids and hair weaves.
Rose generates additional income through selling used clothes. She works in a shop in her residence and sells on retail basis only. Her major business challenges include seasonality and defaulters. She is aspiring of owning a fully stocked shop selling braids and weaves and also building her own house. She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity but not piped water. Her monthly expenses includes rent and school fees.
