Lotutamaiti is 20 years old and married, with no children. She would like to start a small business, selling elei (design material).
In order to do this, Lotutamaiti needs a loan to buy paint board, paint brushes, fabric material, and a new sewing machine. She hopes to use her profits to develop her family and her business.
She has been a member of South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) since 2013.
South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) improves conditions for families living in poverty by providing accessible credit, training, and guidance to help them start, grow and maintain micro-businesses, build assets, finance home improvements, and afford to educate their children. 99% of SPBD’s loans go to women, who can borrow in groups to guarantee one another rather than put up collateral.
