Ricardo completed his primary school studies. However, because of the bad influence of his friends and because his parents did not give him a lot of advice he did not finish secondary school. In fact he started to work at a young age, doing different kinds of work. Approximately one year ago he lived in the Santa Cruz region but the cost of living is very high there, so he decided to move to the Cochabamba area. This is where he lives at present. At the moment Ricardo works as a trailer truck driver.
The loan requested is for the construction of bedrooms for his children, which will improve his family’s quality of life.

About Housing Loans
Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
