Barbra is a single mother of four children, one in school. She also takes care of four grandchildren. She sells green bananas and has been in this business for eight years. She has applied for a loan of 600000 Uganda shillings from MCDTSACCO to buy more bunches of green bananas. She generates additional income from a small retail shop. She works from home seven days a week and sells on retail basis only. Her major business challenges include seasonality, thieves and defaulters. She is aspiring to become a wholesaler and also to build rental rooms. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees and utilities.
