Miguel
Miguel is a single 60-year-old man who has 7 children, 3 men and 4 women, who live in Caserio Central, in the village of Xajaxac, and province and department of Solola.

Miguel is a farmer, cultivating carrots in the location where he lives. He learned this skill from his father while a child. Since then, Miguel has had the opportunity of working with other people and in this manner, he acquired more knowledge, well beyond what he already knew.

Miguel now has some 20 years of farming experience and is obtaining good earnings growing carrots. For this purpose, Miguel is requesting a loan of 1,000 quetzals to purchase carrot seeds and fertilizer so that he can grow and harvest his crop, thus improving his family's income.

Miguel dreams of purchasing another plot of land so he can produce more and advance his family.

Miguel es un señor soltero de 60 años de edad, tiene 7 hijos 3 hombres y 4 mujeres quienes viven en el Caserío Central, Aldea Xajaxac, Sololá, Sololá.

El se dedica a la agricultura, cultivando zanahoria en el lugar donde vive. Esto lo aprendió de su padre desde pequeño posterior a ello, tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar con otras personas y de esta manera el fue adquiriendo más conocimiento a través de lo que realizaba.
El ahora cuenta con 20 años de realizar su propio cultivo viendo que obtiene ganancias buenas cultivando zanahoria. De este modo el solicita un préstamo de Q 1,000.00 para la compra de semillas de zanahoria y fertilizante para cultivar y cosecharlo, mejorando así sus ingresos junto a su familia.
Sueña con comprar otro terreno para poder producir más, con el fin de tener un mejor desarrollo familiar.

Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
