Ella se dedica a la elaboración y venta de ropa y específicamente de trajes típicos que la gente de su comunidad usa. La elaboración de la ropa lo realiza en la casa donde vive. La venta de este producto la lleva a cabo con sus vecinos y también lo vende en el mercado de Sololá. Esta actividad la realiza porque es algo que tiene mucha demanda y le genera los ingresos necesarios para aportar al sostenimiento de su familia.
Lleva 5 años realizando esta labor; además de esta actividad ella también se dedica a la venta de verduras en Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, departamento de Escuintla (costa sur de Guatemala).
Ella solicita un préstamo de Q 7,000.00 para compra de hilo para la elaboración de mas trajes típicos.

ADICLA's youth entrepreneurship loans allow young people without prior credit histories to borrow in groups, an opportunity that is not offered by many other microfinance institutions in Guatemala. The loans will be used to help them start small businesses.


ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations. Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
