To support his family, Jose entered the janitorial business more than 17 years ago, cleaning facilities as a side job. Born and raised in Carrollton, Texas, just northwest of Dallas, Jose is familiar with the hustle and bustle of city life and excited about officially working as owner of his self-titled cleaning business.

While listening to the radio one day, he learned about Accion Texas Inc. and all the organization can do to help him start his own business. He quickly inquired about applying for a loan, and after he submitted his application, was approved for a loan. Jose understands that his Accion loan will provide more business as the van he purchased with it will help expand his clientele. He works alone at the moment but would like to hire a full-time and one part-time employee in the near future.

Without the Accion loan, Jose could not have started his cleaning business as quickly. He continues to work with his current clients and plans to obtain other clients to increase business.
