Monsieur Tekheye is a livestock farmer who has been in the business for over 10 years. This is his first request for a loan of 300000F CFA for bovine fattening.
He is married with children. He works from 8 in the morning to 18 at night and takes particularly good care of his livestock. Thanks to the income he earns from this business, he manages the daily expenses of his household. He believes that by taking out this loan, he could better organise his work and his life and thus save up money at the same time as improving the alimentary conditions of his family.
With the support of IMCEC, he could enlarge his herd and even add some sheep and goats.
This loan is administered by UIMCEC, a Kiva Field Partner in Senegal since 2008. UIMCEC is a government-regulated microfinance institution whose mission is to improve the revenue and well-being of families through access to financial services, allowing principally women and young adult micro-entrepreneurs living in rural and semi-rural areas to develop their revenue-generating businesses and supporting them in becoming financially self-sufficient.
