Mkhitar is a qualified builder, but he has never worked in that trade, since he has been engaged in farming and agriculture since he was very young. He manages to do a perfect job of taking care of his farm animals: a cow, eight sheep, six lambs, and twenty chickens. A plot of land that Mkhitar has will bring some income to his family in the near future, since Mkhitar plans to start potato cultivation. Mkhitar is 45 years old. He lives in the village of Zovaber, which is in the Gegharkunik area, with his wife, three children and his retired mother. His wife works at the local school as a teacher of the Russian language, their elder son is a student, and their other two children are still school-aged. Mkhitar applied for a loan of 200,000 AMD (Armenian drams) to buy a large lot of potato seedlings, in order to start potato production. He thanks all Kiva lenders in advance for their generosity.
