Fausta is a single mother of five children and none of her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (grandchildren). She has a business selling used clothes. She has applied for a loan of 1,200,000 Uganda shillings to buy more bales of used clothes. She generates additional income through tailoring. She has been in this clothing business for 10 years. She works in the market seven days a week and sells on a retail basis only. Her major business challenges include seasonality and the ever increasing prices of used clothes. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to get another piece of land so as to practice farming. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
