Luis
Luis has been operating his business as a photographer, videographer and disc jockey (DJ) since the fall of 2006. As the sole employee of his business, Luis sometimes hires a temporary employee to help out once a month. As technology advances at an extreme pace, he needed to update his equipment.

After he was turned down by a couple of banks, Luis was referred to the non-profit microlender, Accion Texas Inc. Luis then decided he would apply for a $5,450 loan to update his equipment and gain more customers through the better quality of service he will be able to offer. Luis says the loan will allow him to be actively competitive with the other photographers, videographers and DJs in San Juan, Texas.

Without the loan, 34-year-old Luis says his business would halt in progression. As he is currently trying to expand the area he serves and the amount of clients he works with, the Accion loan will help Luis meet his pending business goals.
