The group has eight members and is governed by a board of directors of whom Virginia is the secretary. The members' businesses are varied and include: quilting, egg sales, an employment agency, CD sales, making pants, making balls, and clothing sales.
This loan will benefit these small businesses. Virginia is a group member and says that she has been part of Pro Mujer for one year. She joined at the invitation of a sister-in-law who is a member of the institution. She has a business selling beauty products. She says that she started this business at the recommendation of a friend and has been in the business for one year.
This loan is for an increase in working capital (the purchase of beauty products). She will acquire products from the distribution companies and then sell them in her sales space. This work allows her to generate an income to support her family. She is in a relationship.
When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responded that she likes the loans.

La A.C. “20 DE DICIEMBRE” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Panamericana, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Virginia es la Secretaria. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: costura de edredones, venta de huesos, agencia de empleo, venta de CD’s, costura de pantalones, costura de balones de cuero, venta de ropa.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Virginia es integrante, ella indica que hace un año que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una cuñada que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de productos de belleza; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió por recomendación de una amiga y está trabajando en el mismo hace un año.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra productos de belleza) que adquirirá de las empresas distribuidoras y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia, ya que ella vive en concubinato.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito.
