Maria Suyapa
María is 43 years old and a mother to five children. She has a partner and completed up to the end of fourth grade at school. With her partner and two oldest children, María works in farming, growing vegetables, corn, beans and potatoes in order to earn income for their respective households. María has been farming since a very early age as her family has a tradition of working the land and her parents taught her how to clean the land and plant the crops. They also showed her the different irrigation systems that should be used for each product. After years of effort, María now owns the land where she works, located across from her house.

María is applying for a loan to buy certified seeds to grow potatoes. With these seeds, the harvest will be better and she will have more confidence in growing them.

María's dreams are for her daughters to finish their secondary education. The are studying faring and this will help to implement new and better techniques for a growing a better and different variety of crops.

Doña María es una mujer de 43 años de edad madre de 5 hijos en un estado civil de unión libre con un grado de escolaridad cursado hasta el 4 grado. En compañía de su pareja y sus 2 hijos mayores se involucran en la agricultura en el cultivo de hortalizas, maíz, frijol y papa para generar ingresos para sus hogares. Ella se dedica a la agricultura desde muy temprana edad ya que en su familia es una tradición trabajar la tierra y fueron sus padres los que le enseñaron a limpiar, sembrar e incluso el sistema de riego a implementar para las diferentes siembras. Las tierras que trabajan son propias adquiridas con mucho esfuerzo por muchos años las cuales están ubicadas enfrente de su casa de habitación.

Doña María solicita ayuda para la compra de semilla de papa certificada para cultivar ya que esto mejorara la cosecha y dará confianza para plantar.

Sus sueños son que sus hijas terminen de estudiar y puedan graduarse de la secundaria ya que la carrera que están sacando es de técnicas en agropecuaria por lo tanto esto ayudara a implementar nuevas y mejoradas técnicas para poder cultivar una mejor y deferente variedad.
