Mwanasha is a divorced woman and has two children who always help her out. Mwanasha has been a merchant for three years. She has a well-stocked dispensary with all of the basic goods in a well-populated area of Likoni. She says that she began with a small kiosk when she moved to town, and with a lot of sacrifice, she grew her business. There is a lot of competition in the area. She also says that she is very proud of her work because with her efforts, she has been able to support and educate her children. Mwanasha asks for a loan to buy rice, noodles, beef, drinks and other items so that she can continue offering variety to her customers.
